INTERNATIONAL YOUTH DAY

International Youth Day 2021, 

International Youth Day 2021 Theme: International Youth Day is observed on August 12 every year and people celebrate it with full fervour. In the year 1999, the United Nations (UN) decided to commemorate International Youth Day every year on August 12 which was based on a recommendation made by the World Conference of Ministers Responsible for Youth in Lisbon to the UN General Assembly. 

This day is celebrated through various events, awareness campaigns and concerts to bring to notice the socio-economic and socio-political issues that the youth in every nation face. On this day, governments and citizens across the world come together to recognise and bring attention to the problems usually faced by the youth. 

International Youth Day 2021 Theme

Each year, UN decides a theme that is relevant to all global communities and citizens. This year's theme is "Transforming Food Systems: Youth Innovation for Human and Planetary Health". 

According to the United Nations, this year's theme highlights the crucial need for "inclusive support mechanisms that ensure youth continue to amplify efforts collectively and individually to restore the planet and protect life while integrating biodiversity in the transformation of food systems." 


International Youth Day History

The 1st International Youth Day was celebrated in 1999. This year, the day will be celebrated by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs in association with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations and the Major Group for Children and Youth.

🌎 World Populations Day

World Population Day is an annual event, observed on July 11 per annum , which seeks to boost awareness of worldwide population issues. The event was established by the Governing Council of the United Nations Development Programme in 1989.[2] it had been inspired by the general public interest in Five Billion Day on July 11, 1987, the approximate date on which the world's population reached five billion people. World Population Day aims to extend people's awareness on various population issues like the importance of birth control , gender equality, poverty, maternal health and human rights.[3]

The day was suggested by Dr. K.C.Zachariah during which population reaches Five Billion when he worked as Sr Demographer at International Bank for Reconstruction and Development .

While press interest and general awareness within the global population surges only at the increments of whole billions of individuals , the planet population increases annually by 100 million approximately every 14 months. the planet population reached 7,400,000,000 on February 6, 2016; the planet population had reached 7,500,000,000 at around 16:21 on April 24, 2017. the planet population had reached 7,700,000,000 on year 2019.

In November, UNFPA, along side the governments of Kenya and Denmark, are going to be convening a high-level conference in Nairobi to accelerate efforts to realize these unmet goals. On World Population Day, advocates from round the world are calling on leaders, policymakers, grassroots organizers, institutions et al. to assist make reproductive health and rights a reality for all.

National Doctors' Day : Understanding History, Significance of This Day

July 1 is celebrated as 'National Doctor's Day' as National Doctors' Day by the Indian Medical Association (IMA).


National Doctors' Day 2021: Amidst the pandemic, while India is still battling with the deadly virus, our Frontline Warriors are too fighting to save our life, and one of those heroes are our doctors. There's no better day than today, National Doctor's day to express our gratitude for our medical saviours.

July 1 is celebrated as 'National Doctor's Day' as National Doctors' Day by the Indian Medical Association (IMA). commemorating the iconic and internationally renowned medical practitioner, Dr Bidhan Chandra Roy who served as a physician, a freedom fighter, an educationist and a politician.
